There are no good I.T. Audit Blogs

Audit Blogs

Results courtesy of Google.com.

It’s true. There aren’t. I’ve Googled it and I can’t find a single I.T. Audit blog I find helpful.

Most of the I.T. Audit related sites out there either claim to be “I.T. Security” blogs or are so specific and so technical that they are almost always unusable to the layman or manager who doesn’t work hand in hand with IT systems on a daily basis.

The rest of the “I.T. Audit” blogs out there are thinly veiled sales blogs run by consulting companies or freelancers – which I have no problem with if the information is good – but it usually isn’t.

There’s such a lack of good information for I.T. Auditors that the teams I’ve worked with have resorted to creating self-created company newsletters,  massive email chains (with unknown origin) forwarded endlessly from person to person, and even the occasional  screen-shots of helpful web-chats. None of these methods being very searchable, indexable, or in most cases – helpful.

So here we are. A couple of I.T. Auditors looking to start a first-of-its-kind blog aimed at I.T. Audit. If there is something you would like us to write about please let us know and we’ll add it to the list.

  1. I agree with most of your assertions, assuming you’re excepting my blog.
I don’t think my blog is overly technical and I’ve had lots of comments from beginners who find it useful.
I’m glad we discovered each other. I look forward to read more of your material.
